Safety Match — matchboxes as propaganda in totalitarian regimes

Safety Match is a historical project that explores the world of matchbox production and their illustrated labels during the years of totalitarian regimes. In particular the research explores the phyllumenal production linked to the Soviet bloc between the 60s and 70s and its importance as an object of propaganda by the state.
